Consumer Inquiries: 888-INFO-FDAFDA Warns Consumers of Serious Harm from Drinking Miracle Mineral Solution (MMS) Product contains industrial strength bleach
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers not to take Miracle Mineral Solution, an oral liquid also known as “Miracle Mineral Supplement” or “MMS.” The product, when used as directed, produces an industrial bleach that can cause serious harm to health.
The FDA has received several reports of health injuries from consumers using this product, including severe nausea, vomiting, and life-threatening low blood pressure from dehydration.
Consumers who have MMS should stop using it immediately and throw it away.
MMS is distributed on Internet sites and online auctions by multiple independent distributors. Although the products share the MMS name, the look of the labeling may vary.
The product instructs consumers to mix the 28 percent sodium chlorite solution with an acid such as citrus juice. This mixture produces chlorine dioxide, a potent bleach used for stripping textiles and industrial water treatment. High oral doses of this bleach, such as those recommended in the labeling, can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and symptoms of severe dehydration.
MMS claims to treat multiple unrelated diseases, including HIV, hepatitis, the H1N1 flu virus, common colds, acne, cancer, and other conditions. The FDA is not aware of any research that MMS is effective in treating any of these conditions. MMS also poses a significant health risk to consumers who may choose to use this product for self-treatment instead of seeking FDA-approved treatments for these conditions.
The FDA continues to investigate and may pursue civil or criminal enforcement actions as appropriate to protect the public from this potentially dangerous product.
The FDA advises consumers who have experienced any negative side effects from MMS to consult a health care professional as soon as possible and to discard the product. Consumers and health care professionals should report adverse events to the FDA’s MedWatch program at 800-FDA-1088 or online at www.fda.gov/medwatch/report.htm.

The FDA probably receives most, if not all of their substantial funding from the USA drug companies. Drug companies, whose sole purpose in live is to make money will go to extreme lengths and suppress anything that would have the potential undermine their profits… In Europe the drug companies have persuaded their croonies in the European Government to place draconian restrictions on alternative health products which do not benefit the drug companies profits.
In addition to using my regular health professional with whom I am very happy… I also use alternative health products; I believe its my human right to choose to take responsibility for my health management and well-being.
I use MMS, which I have found to be far more effective with less side effects than some “approved” medicines.
Two years ago I had “Shingles” a very painful and debilitating disease for over six months (modern medicine had no effect) MMS kicked it out of court in two days.
Do not let the Drug companies and the FDA bully you stand up for your Human Rights!!!!!!!!!!!
So……if a person gets a Botox injection for frown lines, will MMS clean it out of their system?

wow. thanks sergio for becoming a doc…it sounds like you take it seriously and will make a difference. i believe a mix of alternative and allopathic medicine can be very dynamic. i agree with sergio that there is a basic truth to whether or not something can help or hurt and it is always healthy to question. why is it offensive to question? i believe some folks have a bit emotional healing work to do when there is so much reaction and venom. i understand having been misdiagnosed and mistreated. i’ve experienced it on both sides. it was awful. so what? does that mean all of the health practitioners allopathic or alternative were evil and bad and had secret agendas? what a wild extrapolation. are there some irresponsible folks practicing on both sides of the fence? yes. look after yourself, ask good questions forgive and move on where you need to. let go of the attack…it just creates more hurt and attack; how can you expect any real, good dialogue?
ps. i am with daisy…celiac is very underdiagnosed in the u.s. and can cause multiple allergies, immune challenges that can be diagnosed as many different syndromes. a good thing to check out.
WHOLISTIC (as I like to spell it) or HOLISTIC would find out the cause(s) of a condition and handle that. The condition will normalize, heal, cure, disappear etc.
Side effects? Other conditions besides the one(s) addressed may also be handled.
The Cause(s) likely are on a couple or more levels or in a couple or more areas: The acute problems of the body right now [broken bones, damaged tissues, blood loss, severe dehydration, acute poisoning etc], deficiencies; lack of regular body movement daily and gradiently to the point of panting.
Then there’s the mental or mind[not the brains] Ex: False data operated on like “Enemas are bad and dangerous” [Doctors quite prescribing enemas in 1950 I'm told.]
Then there’s you, the personality, the spirit, that that is aware of being aware
ALLOPATHIC medicine was started on the treatment of the body part having the problem, the sickness.
Part of this formula is negative side effects.
I have not been to a medical doctor [the real alternative medicine doctor] since no choice having tonsils removed in 1954. It is now 2011 –57 years later.
I have observed and listened to my body and learned the correct herb, or magnesium or cleanse; Communication along nerve channels, destroying parasites SAFELY including, now, MMS, knowing what a healing crisis is and so on and so on.
The path has been difficult due to the TONS AND TONS of false information pouring out every day.
I have conquered cancer, prostrate and incontinence, severe candida, being run over by a tractor at 3 years old, the shear insanity of the general education in this country, severe despondency & depression, severe deficiencies, mercury poisoning, sever back problems AT ONE TIME, lame AT ONE TIME, parasites, and so on. You know, the typical person
It is not an easy path.
I am still here still finding more truths including the MMS story.

Would MMS kill stem cells in our bodies? I read a warning that pregnant women should not use MMS in conjunction with DMSO (for cancer) because fetuses have undifferentiated cells and this treatment targets cancer cells, which are also undifferentiated. Would MMS damage stem cells or is it the pairing with DMSO that causes harm to undifferetiated cells?

i had malaria for years but diagnosed 2005 and again in 2008 , i would get attacks and relief from prescribed medicine .. it started to get worse as i visited the tropics in asia , and i started colapsing at times … i developed bronchitis then after returning back to australia , i found out about mms , a friend brought it to me , i went to my doctors appointment , had blood tests and x rays all came back negative and free of malaria , i only took 4 doses of 6 drops mms to 30 drops citric acid … doctor was amazed too .
Does it cure natural aging of body functions like arthritis, glaucoma cataracts, or weight gain due to hormone imbalances i.e. menapause,.. sinusitis, bi polarism, ADHD, etc…just asking?
I woulsd like to purcha in extremely large quantaties…what is the shelf life?
Does this mineral come from clay dirt, iron, or what?
I took Malarium tablets with me to South America, and India.
On my second trip to India I started having ringing in my ears. I did not know what caused it. I went to India five more times still taking the Malarium tablets. I went to speak at a church and mention that I have ringing in my ears. Someone told I have Tinnitus which is sometimes caused when you take malarium tablets.
I found out about MMS and the wonderful work of healing that it does.
Bought it, followed the instructions, starting with a few drops and daily increasing it to 13 then back to 3 drops daily. Whenever I travel outside the US I take MMS with me.
If you take too much the first time, you will vomit because the bacteria does not give up easily.
I am wondering, has anyone taken this MMS for fever blisters/cold sores? If so, did it stop them or cure them?

One year ago, I went to an alternative doctor for two major problems candida yeast and psoriasis that I had no control over. I suffered from this vaginal yeast infection for 22 years. Every doctor that I went to just gave me the traditional over the counter treatments and prescriptions as they were approved by the FDA to help me, but nothing worked for me, the infection would return immediately after treatment, then at age 40, I developed psoriasis severely, I was given an expensive prescription to treat my skin, unfortunately the outbreaks started becoming more severe as time pasted, and the prescription medication was not enough to keep it under control, and to add to my nightmare I could not afford to pay the out of pocket expense that my insurance would not cover to keep me supplied with enough to last for whole month to attempt to keep controlled.
I decided to go to an alternative doctor for answers. At first, I thought the way this doctor handled my examination was odd because I never heard of a meridian system, but I quickly got over it once she explained that she could see that I had yeast, fungus and other problems that were the underlying source of my life long problem. She told me about MMS and to take it daily along with other supplements. MY YEAST INFECTION and PSORIASIS WAS CLEARED WITHIN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. What a miracle!
The only time I had a side effect from taking MMS was when I did not eat before talking the solution. I had severe diarrhea and vomiting, but once it passed I felt good. I attribute this bad incident to my body releasing the rest of the toxins and heavy metals in it. I strongly believe that MMS cured me of my problems.

I think the most interesting thing is: if you poke around on the FDA site you will find an earlier reference to chlorine dioxide (before MMS came along) saying that it is completely safe and actually kills off harmful bacteria etc and leaves the good stuff intact!
The actual words of the FDA! Of course now their vested inetrests/profits are at stake so suddenly it is dangerous/toxic etc. Go figure!
Check it out it is on there somewhere unless they have recently noticed it and panicked and removed it in a hurry!
I have a friend recently diagnosed with cancer. Two weeks ago she began to take this mms. I will update this site, as possible, with her journey. I hesitate to say progress, though hopefully, that is the case.
Yes, her packaging looks different from what is pictured; two small bottles, ingredients to be mixed.
Now why would I trust an organization to cure me who’s motivated by making money?
MMS is not used for cancer. Try Laetrile or they call it Vitamin B17.

The FDA is full of bull.Does anyone else notice how they always go after products that actually end up curing people? Why dont they go after the drug companies that end up prolonging peoples illnesses? Of course we already know the answers to these questions.MMS is the best remedy out there.I have used it to help detoxify mold and mildew.Not to mention enviromental toxins.
